May 15th saw Jessica Mauboy and Team Seal spring a surprise visit on staff and students at Puckapunyal PS. Excitement almost tipped into hysteria as the students greeted their visitors with shrieks of joy and high fives all round. The school choir, led by Sally O’Connor performed a moving rendition of The Last ANZAC, leaving Jessica in tears as she explained how important being in the school choir had been to her time at Primary School.
We were all entertained by an impromptu sing along from Team Seal’s Mitchell and Alex, before being invited to join in on a jam session making use of hundreds of dollars’equipment. Thanks to the Carrick family who entered the competition which allowed our students to be part of this fabulous experience. Also to Woolworths for their very generous donation of musical equipment.
This certainly was a day to remember! Leaving only one question…..can we do it again just one more time?
